Stain Resistance Treatment
Chem-Dry PowerGuard Stain Resistance Treatment is the ultimate
in protecting carpets from stains and spills. It not only gives
non-stain resistant carpeting stain resistant qualities like Dupont
Stainmaster, but renews the stain blockers in stain resistant
carpeting. Chem-Dry PowerGuard actually fills up the excess dye
sites in the carpet fibers with a clear coating that will not allow the
spill to penetrate the fiber and stain the carpet, allowing you to
clean more types of spills than other carpet protectors such as
Teflon or Scotchguard. Chem-Dry PowerGuard is better than other
treatments because it is applied with the carpet cleaning solution
and will adhere to all of the carpet fiber right down to the backing.
Other treatments are sprayed on after the cleaning process, which
will not completely cover all of the carpet fibers. Chem-Dry
PowerGuard simply makes it easier to remove stains by not
allowing stains to set quickly and extends the time you have to
clean up a spill before the carpeting is permanently stained.
Chem-Dry "CCP" Residue Remover
Carpet Protection Treatment
Chem-Dry "CCP" Residue Remover Carpet Protection Treatment is
highly recommended for carpeting that has previously been
cleaned with high residue cleaning solutions or that has stains that
reappear after cleaning. If your carpets are new, or have previously
been cleaned only by Chem-Dry's carbonated neutral pH solution,
this product is probably not necessary; Chem-Dry's carpet cleaning
solution does not leave a dirt-attracting residue. Spills and
dirt-attracting residue left in carpeting attract soils to create stains.
"CCP" was designed to mix with oily dirt attracting residues or
soapy detergents and cause them to dry to a consistency that can
be vacuumed out of the carpet. A portion of the "CCP" breaks away
from the carpet fiber when it is first vacuumed, carrying with it the
dried soaps and oily residues. The balance of the "CCP" coats the
carpet fiber with an invisible shield to protect it from future soiling.
